Default Top speed probīs with civic ee9 (b16a1)

Hi
when my car was stock top speed was 235km/h (about 147mph)
now i have a ventuli plate, an Fujitsubo tail silencer, an TeZet Header and
and ecu is chip-tuned.
Now my top speed is only 220km/h(138mph)
Has anyone an idea what my problem is ? I think its the ventuli plate and/or
the ecu tuning - but i want to know it before im going to remove the ventuli plate...

Further only with sinlencer, - top speed was 235km/h
and iīve got about 170hp (150hp is stock)
im going to to another mesurement on the dyno and see what i have now...

If you donīt know this car, itīs an 91ī civic hb with the B16a engine - only sold in germany, it should be very similar to the EF9...

it would be graet if anyone could give me usefull tips
greets from germany
Stefan

I'm not a big top-speed freak, but that ventuli plate you have was not made for high-end power. The idea behind it is to speed up air into the combustion chamber by making the ports smaller. This increases mid-range power but limits high rpm power to some degree. I'd be willing to bet that removing that ventuli plate would increase your top speed.

10 mph is a pretty big hit for just a bit of increased port speed, I'd be more inclined to think it's either the ECU tune or something else.

Actually, the ventulli is most likely the problem. They do cause quite a bit of restriction at those rates of intake. Just a though. -HIT

Thanks a lot for all the fast answers -
iīll do some test driving with stock ecu and if itīs not better iīll going to remove the ventuli plate but itīs a lot of work and iīll lose mid-range power - but it should run at least stock top speed
Today i was on the dyno, but my header is to low so i canīt do another dyno run
maybe iīll search another dyno...
Iīll post again on sunday after the tests and let you know
then iīll post some pictures too!

top speed is sitll only a bit over 220km/h(138mph)
iīm now going to remove my ventulil, but i donīt know when i aill have the time to do this - iīll let u know...
