Default Koni yellows vs Tokico illuminas vs KYB AGX

Just wondering your guys experience with these three kinds of front shocks. I currently have tenzo R springs, 2.5in drop with bilstein front shocks and stock on the rear, on a 90 accord. Just lookin to get a better suspension setup, tryin to decide between these three brands and deciding whether or not to get different springs that give my a better ride, probably with higher ride, im nearly tuckin right now. Thinking about eibachs to probably replace my tenzo's. also wondering good place to get either progress or ingalls polyurethane camber kits, looked on GBC.com and i can get em for 130. let me now if you can get em for less, thx guys.

I have the KYB AGX's on my 5th Gen, for about 1 year now with a 2.25 inch drop in the front and a 2 inch drop in the rear. They have held up very well with my Suspension Technique Springs. I plan on getting different springs, the ST's aren't to great of springs..hopefully going to get H&R or Eibach.

Yea, Tokico Blue's are crap I heard. Not sure on the Illuminas. And Koni's you cannot go wrong with..

Illuminas is okay/fair on some slammed ride for some odd ball reason..
if you gonna spend that money on tokico **** why not AGX?

what spring rates are the "Tenzo R" springs? is this just for daily driving, commuting?

koni can handle any spring rate without blow
Um, no they cant. They can handle any off-the-shelf spring rates.

Koni Yellows are tops for off-the-shelf dampers. They are also so highly saught after do to their ability to be revalved and the different perchases they can be adjusted too. Also, you can adjust both rebound and compression.

no u wrong u can't adjust compression on koni yellow, u can only adjust rebound......go do sum reasearch......tokico, and kyb u can adjust both ways.
actually Koni's can be adjusted both ways, they tend to not sell them that way because the average consumer does not understand compression on shocks and how exspensive it is

I got KYB AGX with prothane bushings and I kept stock springs since ride height matters up here in Quebec with our fabulous roads (for those of you ever been up here, you know what I mean), especially the smaller roads. I have driven 106K with this setup, and I am very happy with them, since they haven't started to decrease in performance yet. Now I don't use them for track, obviously, but I have done a fair amount of dirt road driving, and they really are great.

I have heard nothing but good about the Kony Yellows, and I've heard nothing but bad about Tokico illuminas.

Regards,
Jeff

No, you are wrong. Tokico Blues/Illuminas and KYB AGX's can be adjusted in only one way which affects both rebound and compression the same exact way. And Koni's can be bought with seperate adjustabilities. So before you go telling me to do my research, go do 'sum' of your own and learn how to spell and write using the standards of the written English language.

The Tenzo Spring Rates are 300F and 185R, mostly for daily driving but would rather a tight suspension without a bumpy as hell ride.

i got neuspeed sport springs /w koni yellow shocks set to medium stiffness, they are perfect for daily driving. if you put it on full stiff, you will seriously get a headache.

yeh I favor koni yellows myself rather than tokico's....I havent tried the KYBs though but I love my Koni's...Best investment i made on my car. I have Eibach Sportlines sitting on them and I lowered the perch on the Konis to the lowest setting so I guess Im sitting at a 3.0 drop after my springs set. But anywayz, it is like anything you buy....if u pay more u get more....usually...lol
