I know im gonna get bi*%#ed at/flamed for this, but ALL MOTOR LS, i got questions...
i was gonna go turbo but now im not going to b/c if i was going to do it, i'd wanna do it right...hondata, fuel management, and the best of everything. but i dont have enought money for all that, and i dont make enough money to maintain it, i dont think at least. and i want to stop spending money on my car soon anyway
so i'm just gonna work w/what i got and make it a lil better. how would this work... ITR pistons, crower 404 cams, springs/retainers, P&P, new valves w/5 angle valve job, Skunk2 intake manifoldm, larger TB, and a nice header? what kind of compression would i get w/the ITR pistons? would it be even better to use CTR? about how much HP could i see w/that setup and proper tuning?

You can get some good power from an all motor LS. Dont let people tell you ya cant, cuz anything is possible. However, driveability is another thing. With big cams, its gonna idle like **** and have not so much bottom end. With a VTEC head, you get the best of both worlds. Id save up and sleeve that block(2.0) with a B16 head and some Skunk2 cams, youll be good to go.
And you dont want to spend a lot of money??????
if i were to get a GSR i'd have to buy the motor THEN build it AND THEN/OR turbo it
and to get a LS/VTEC to be reliable as a daily driver, it is a lot of work and money. my one friend put $9,000 into his LS/VTEC. again, i'd want to do everything right, not just slap the head on and call it a day. so that means another fully built motor. PLUS the cost of the head/machine work.
its going to be a lot cheaper just to build up the LS. cams aren't too expensive and i can get the pistons cheap, and the other stuff isn't that bad compared to what i'd spend if i went a different route.

In retrospect it was allot of money for really not all that much power. If you were to spend an equall amount on a GSR you could beat these numbers by 30-40whp. Second I would never go allmotor anything in a DC chassis way too heavy in comparison to any 92+CX hatch. Third ditch the LS tranny for a hydro b16 if you plan to do any kind of na racing. Hope this helps you out

Remember this formula
Compression+Cams+Fuel+Air=Power
Maybe some other stuff too, but that's most of it

jrsc it, mikey had one like that(in his civic though)..torquey...i think he ran 13.8 at pretty low boost
it was relatively inexpensive as well
