Has anyone used an Ignited Switch for a fut cut-off switch?
Does this work as a fuel cut-off switch? Will i need a fuse or anything? Or do I just splice the switch into the fuel pump wire? Thanks.
I believe the fuse for the fuel pump is rated at 15A. Make sure those switches can handle that kind of power.
Question: Why do you want to put in a cut-off switch? It's too bright and big to hide it for a extra measure of security.

Still going to hide it, just like that kind of switch. Will an additional fuse be needed or is it built into the switch?

Use a relay instead...that's my suggestion. Then you can basically use whatever switch you choose; i.e., a small, hidden one without having to worry about too much current going through it, thanks to the relay.

How do you wire this up? I never messed with relays before.
Get a Bosch relay (partsexpress.com...cheap)...there are 5 pins on it.
Pin 86: 12V power goes here, install a switch before it so you can cut the signal. Make sure this signal is an ACC/IGN power signal, as in, it has power when the key is in both positions.
Pin 85: goes to ground, this is the other end of the circuit in Pin 86.
Pin 87: put one end of the fuel pump line (yellow/green wire) here
Pin 87a: leave it alone
Pin 30: connect the other end of the fuel pump line here...
And now you have a fuel kill relay setup. When you turn the power on w/your switch, it power the relay via Pin 86 and 85, and when those have power, it will connect Pin 87 to 30; therefore, compoleting your fuel pump power
When the switch is off, Pin 87a will go to 30...and since nothing is on 87a, the fuel pump will be dead.Again...that's the basics.
