Default Cutting out middle bar on a 94-97 front bumper

Anyone ever do this??? I was thinking about doing it... my friend has a spray gun so we can dremel it off, sand it down, bondo it, and paint it. But I don't kno where to mount my foglights if I do this. Is there anywhere else I can mount them?

Yeah it looks empty. I however am doing it - and filling it with an intercooler.

It looks funny without an intercooler or something in there. But I like it when people keep the middle bar, but get rid of all those back pieces of plastic around it. Then it looks nice. You know what im talking about??

i would prolly recommend against this as this would make the opening under ur hood bigger and make it easier to get whatever is under there...unless u plan on putting something to block that hole. i'm just saying this as a warning as i have the same car and someone opened my hood from outside....not very funny business.

your car looks clean as is....if you want the middle portion gone, i say you get the 97+ front end...thats my opninion.

Most people regret it after they cut their bumper.

I think it looks cleaner without it but its alot of work if you wanna do it right and get rid of the hole you are going to create right at the edge of the bumper where the middle strip meets the bumper. For the time and effort i would just go with the 97 plus bumper which looks much cleaner in my opionion. So if you feel like you want to put the time and effort into it then go for it.

Might as well convert to a 98 front end...

Are you doing this for an intercooler or something?

Using bondo to do the finish work would be your first mistake. The bondo will crak and the finished product will look good for about 2 days. Use a urethane repair or something to fill the areas needed. Sand this down smooth and use a small skimcoat of metal galze. Sand this down, prime then paint.

If your skills don't warrant this kind of work, leave the bar in and just trim the black plastic crap around it.

Stuff that **** full of intercooler and your DC2 may turn out as nice as Farnsrocket's. John's Geezer puts down from 300 to 400 whp in race trim .
