Clicking in reverse ??
My car is clicking when I let the clutch out in reverse and start to go back. I just had coilovers put on recently, 2 in drop. That was the only thing I changed before this started. Any ideas what this could be?
I did search, nothing related to this sound...I posted a few threads about my coilovers clicking..... Urbanlegend asked me if it clicked in reverse.... I checked and it does. The noise comes from the rear of the car when I start to move..it's not the clutch (more than likely my coilovers or suspension components) Just wondering what it is... It seems like I acquire more and more noises everyday since I lowered the car.. ?? It's not getting beat up..I live in FL...flat as hell...
Not yet.....that is this weekends project... It rubs the well ever so slightly when I push it hard around a right turn... Still trying to isolate the clicking in the front when I roll over bumps....either the arms are hitting up top or something on the coilover may have contact with....well, I don't know?....it just seems to happen too often over small bumps... But as much as I hate to do it...raising it a half inch - inch would probably do it a world of good.
Is it a clicking or a banging ? When you're upper control arms hit it's usually more than a clicking. It's a good solid bang that you will feel.

It is just a clicking sound....although it is a good solid click, when I roll over almost anything! But not a banging. I heard that the components of the coilover itself can hit. I do not know how to describe it right but the middle can move around and hit against the outside. I have had reccomendations to fill the gap with rubber tubing or gaskets to help it. ?? Sorry for the lack of clarity in my description...

Hey if the tire keeps rubbing the well, why do you still have it that way. You could be setting yourself up for disaster.
Let us know if the clicking is still there when you raise the ride.
? - do you know where the clicking is??? front left, front-right, rear-left, rear-right?
That can help The Honda Crew out a little to isolate the problem

Well the slight rubbing is in the back right. If I raise it 1/16 in It should stop. It is really slight only when I really twist it around a hard left turn. Wondering...the struts are adjustable...is it bad to set them differently in the front and the back? Tighter in the back would probably stop the rubbing.
The clicking is coming from the front, both sides. It does not sound like it is the control arms hitting. Doesn't cause a jolt, just a clicking sound like if you were to tap a beer can on the concrete. Thanks for the replys guys...
