Default Intake / Exhaust cams... This setup better than stock? and what about turbo...

I was thinking of switching to a CTR intake cam, and a TEG-R exhaust cam. I know the the CTR intake cam is more aggressive and some people on here have had much success in gaining power with it, but I don't what would be ideal to use as far as exhaust goes?

Are the integra-R exhaust cams worth a $290 price tag to swap in place of my GSR cam? I know there are various cams that you can buy (aftermarket) like skunk2, crower, jun, just to name a few.. but I'm just talking strictly B series cams..

I'm thinkin about going turbo in the future and wondered if these would be better for a turbo setup. Meaning, are their durations longer or just higher lift? I'm thinking that I could go with the CTR intake and TEG-R Exhaust, and gain a little/ some power and that these cams would still be better than stock with a turbo system, but no as good as just using turbo cams.. correct?

Anyone know how much of a gain to expect with switching to these cams?

the CTR and ITR exhaust side cams are the same. just get two CTR cams. Not sure on the turbo application.

What about the GSR exhaust, should i just stick with the stock cam there because I only get the CTR intake cam.

Low duration and mid lift is what you want for turbo, you want the valves to open pressurize the pistons with the turbo and close quickly with out any overlap so the turbo is as effective as possible. Overlap is only good for NA high rpm ussage. If you want R cams go with the ITR setup the ITR cams have 3 deg less duration(overlap) than CTR.

ahh, i see.. So the ITR would still be better for turbo than stock gsr cams then right?

OR would my stock ones have even less duration....sorry but i'm a newb when it comes to internal stuff really.. just tryin to learn

yeah the stock gsr cams have less duration but they also have less lift too the lift on the stock gsr cam is 9.6mm if i remember correctly the lift on the ITR is 11.5mm, what you really want is a turbo cam look on the internet and you will find specs for every cam available.
