Default Civic Si mods

I am thinking of getting a 99-00 Civic Si... right now I have a '99 EX stick (it's completely stock). Should I keep mine and save the money that it would take to cover the difference between my EX and Si and use it for performance mods, or should I get the Si and then wait until I have money to modify that? Either way, what mods should I perform to either car to get the most power for the least amount of money e.g. cold air intake, headers, chip, etc.?

Save for a motor swap, or boost your SOHC motor.

for the cost difference and insurance difference, it's not worth it. You can upgrade to say GSR brakes for about 300, Si engine swap for about 2500 with low miles and all papers, Si lip for 200 and so on. Would be a lot cheaper IMO. Or, just boost the Y8. I've seen some pretty quick boosted EK EX's

where do I go about finding an Si engine and GSR brakes? If I do find them, how much would it be to do an engine swap (im talking about labor costs... not parts costs).

somebody should do GSR/Si rear brakes for probably under 100 bucks, depending on who does it. Swaps usually run about 500

Edit- find somebody on this board that lives by you and has done the swap and turn to them

b18c is a JDM Type-R engine.

Most honda engine are in that format: Letter:Number:Letter
