OK i have a 89 civic hatchback...and i dropped a d16a6 into it. The problem is...the engine will not redline...it gets to about 5500 and then it sputters...and it will eventually go to 6800 but it will take about 2 mins to do it! I changed the fuel filter....changed plugs...i dunno what else it could be! Help me out here!

 

what ecu are you runing?

 

Pull your ECU and throw a PM6 ECU in there and then you can go up to the right redline.

 

I have the right ECU in the car!
