I have heard a few good comments about magnaflow... But have never actually used one myself.. I do know from experience that obx sounds fairly nice(installed one on a crx in auto tech class).. can't vouch for it's quality though..

i have a magnaflow with the 14' resinator on a custom 2.25 mandrel bent exhaust, with a test pipe. raspy as ****...sounds good when theres a turbo on it though (took the turbo off before i bought it)
i just picked up a cherry bomb glasspack (24'') and had it welded in front of the resinator
sounds good now...kinda deep...isnt TOO loud (read: it is loud, but not ticket kinda loud)

i got a universal oval magnaflow... on the stock DX exhaust.. JEEEBUS it's deep and loud.. no raspy at all i have it coming out the right side of my 4dr

My friend has a B3 (or B5 i can't remember, whichever has the angle-cut tip) OBX Bomb Universal Muffler on his 98 LS teg that he got from eBay for $100 including shipping. Sounds pretty good for only having intake. Nice and Deep. The only time it sounds raspy, is when the tuner is out, and youre kinda punchin the gas. Hearing his actually made me wanna buy the same kind of muffler for my hb, but i don't kno how much of a difference in sound SOHC will make...

yeh them EBAY universal muffler are nice. Especially for the money you paid for them.. they get the job done right.

Buy the car cheap (OK condition) and you have a ton of engine money left over.
