tips on swapping an ignitor
hey guys. thanks to len, my oem ignitor came in today and i was wondering if you guys could give me any tips that might make the job a little easier. anything you can contribute would be helpful and so would any pics. thanks

well.. i replaced the rotor, ignitor should be right behind there... take the cap off, then remove the rotor (that part might not happen as easy), then theres a leak cover and ignitor should be right behind it, attached by 2 screws from the top and 2 wires on the side..

needle nose visegrips for when the heads round off the screws.
it happens to me most of the time and these are the best thing I've found to break them loose.

yep, remove cap/rotor, the plastic shield (pops right out), and then 2 screws on top of the ignitor and it's out.
This magic hat fellow is confusing the ignitor with the COIL.
In the picture above, is the piece opposite the ignitor (shaped like California) part of the distributor or something seperate? It's damaged on my car and needs replaced. TIA.
