Default need help with my '92 civic not starting...

ok i got the car back from the body shop a few days ago and it worked the first day.. until yesterday it started to give me soem problems... the car would not start and i noticed the check engine light came on... so my dad was takin a look at it and he dropped his flashlight on soem wires and the check engine light went off.. it made a little blow off valve type noise and started up... that was uuntil a few hrs later and it did it agian at the gas station.. my freind was messing around with some of the wires and wala it starts agian... until about an hr ago after i got outta school.. it wont start.. we messd witht he same wire my friend did to get it to start... no luck.. we messed with some other wires.. no luck.. so my question to you is.. anyone have ANY ideas at all?

its a wire that is infront of the the short ram ntake... like if your looking @ the engine from the front of the car... it looks liek it could be a grounding wire... well my parents went up to try ad start it agian, i didnt go cause im sick.. and i hope they don tlook in the trunk to see those wonderful subs im not supposed to have.

does it turn over or not. If it dosn't turn over, i'll say your block needs grounded.

ok.. the block needs grounding... that makes sense to me (sorry if your all confused) but the wire that we were messing with looks like a ground wire and it is coming off the block... umm maybe the connection is corroded or the wire is bad??? what should i do... replace the wire or....?
