Default odometer..

alright im swaping my std cluster for a cluster with a tach...my car presently has 160k on it...and the one im geting has 210k..is there anyways to lower the odomer to 160? i dont know what kind of laws there is and such...so someone please help me

u can get a drill and tight it with the speedo cable behind the cluster... put it on reverse.. and start rewinding... be ready for a few happy many hrs of rewinding...

Pop the needles off and take the 2 screws out of the speedo and just swap them. You can also just take the face off the speedo and remove a small E-clip slide the #'s over a hair and they will spin. Either way will work.

That's what I did the 2nd time I swapped clusters. The first time I managed to actually turn the numbers to match them to what the old odometer said. But that was a major PITA.

there is a WAY easier way to do this!!!

take out the SpeedO, and swap it into the other cluster....DAMN that was hard. now grab a beer and take a break

btw i have done this it will work! i took one out of auto DX cluster and put it in a HF cluster once...

and **** spinning the odmeter backwards, spin it forward! 88 HF w/831K miles
