Greddy or Dc headers?
Anybody know the exact diffs between a greddy header and a dc header for the 4th gen VTEC in terms of specs?
I know the primaries and collector on the greddy is bigger but is it enuff to justify the cost/performance when compared to dc? Got dyno numbers?
I can get my hands on a used dc cc header pretty cheap and I am tired of looking a good deal on a greddy one.... oh yeah, this is going on a fully built h22a....

Greddy all the way. DC is child's play. It didn't flow nearly enough for my liking on my engine. So I switched.
Inside diameter of openings...
--------------DC CC---------------------Greddy---------------
opening by the block:
------------46mm x 32mm -------------46mm x 35mm----------------
bottom opening of the upper portion (notice this portion is round):
---------------41mm--------------------------43mm-----------------
Opening on the down pipe(notice this portion is round):
---------------41mm---------------------------43mm-----------------
Opening at the end of down pipe by cat. (this is round as well):
---------------47mm---------------------------49mm-----------------
On top of that design is better, most will say it is the best produciton header behind mugen possibly

hhmmmmm no wonder. i got my dc headers and went to the track and only got .1 / .2 quicker on time and felt no difference in power with mine.hhmmmm another wrinkle in my brain thanx Satan
heard that dc (ceramic) cracks. greddy should be better. i'm goin for mugen or smsp next on my list. my dc ceramic header started to rust and it doesn't look good. never goin DC again.
got dc on mine but would go with greddy in a heartbeat

I gave the DC header to the guy who did my website for his hybrid. They made a big difference on his car as well. BTW, He should have the pictures up for me in a bit. check back later.

does anyone have any dynos for the comparison. The flow rate may seem less due to actual measurements, but at the same time a long narrower pipe helps with velocity and scavenging. I am still a fan of my DC. But I am sure not to knock GREDDY!

Greddy lists a header for the 93-96 Prelude, does this fit 97+ Preludes also?...any clearance issues, etc.?
Honesty, I think for a real gain from a header you need either a Mugen header, or one from SMSP dude here at H-T.com I think the DC and Greddy are both kinda a waste.

How much are Mugen headers, probaly a pretty penny huh. What about brands like airmass and OBX? Probaly pretty cheap huh. IS there any other good headers besides Mugen and Greddy? Any other Jappanese brands. All these years i thought DC was a good brand. Glad i heard this before i bought some.

Greddy is a waste? Do you have some facts on that? It's generally accepted that the Greddy is an excellent header.
Yeah, I am kinda curious about the differences too. Can someone post dynos of each??
Also, is it true that H23's respond better to aftermarket headers than H22s?? Someone told me this. Just curious if it is true.

Btw, before anyone asks "Is it worth the price difference for the GReddy?", you might want to actually check the prices of the two headers.
DC Sports SS: $428

GReddy SS: $391
http://www.optauto.com/webstore/prod...=yes&dept=1428
With that in mind, the GReddy will soon be mine as well. DC header's aren't that good (yes, I've owned them in the past) and is actually more expensive than GReddy. If that price is a missprint, so what? It's at fault of the company and the legalatility is that they will have to sell it to you for that price if you put your order in before its changed.

Personally just from the specs posted its pretty much garenteed that they are both a waste. If I had known the specs before I originally bought my DC SS header, I never would have. Any header that has a collector thats smaller than 2" is a complete waste.
