Default problem installing b16

We're installing a b16a2 into my friends eg civic cx hatch. It idles fine when still cold but as soon as it warms up it is irregular. It's like it revs and comes back down and revs again and then shuts off. The ecu is showing a problem with the map sensor. We checked everything there and still can't find a problem. Any ideas on what it could be?

First unplug the IACV and see if the problem goes away.
Then, Check all vaccum lines.
Next, reset ECU and allow car to "learn" for 10 minutes minimum.....in other words, start it and leave it alone for 10 mins.

Did you accidentally mix up the plugs for the MAP and TPS sensor.

I have the same problem with my car, it's my MAP sensor, but honda wants like $400.00 for a new map sensor so I'll just live the rest of my days with a bad map sensor unless I can find one in a junkyard. Hey, do you have the stock map sensor in your old motor? If so, i'll buy it off of you.

I had a reving problem with my b16. When it got warm, it would rev from 800 to 1100 rpms. I wasn't throwing a code and it took me forever to figure out the problem. Turns out the engine wasn't grounded enough to the car. Just a sudgestion.
