Need SPECS to my B16 (ordering custom Pistons)
i need the following specs for the b16!
Cubic Inch displacement: Im assuming 1600cc?
bore size: Stock is 81mm but im bored to 83mm
stroke: ?
Rod Length: ?
Rod Small end width: ?
thickness above pin: ?
block height: ? (its stock)
deck clearance: ? (Stock)
compression height? (If known)
head gasket thickness: ? (Stock thickness)
Camshaft specs:
Gross Valve Lift Intake: ?
Gross Valve Lift exhaust: ?
Lobe seperation (Degrees): ?
Degreed in Std Degree + : ?
Degreed in Std Degree - : ?
Duration @ .050 Intake: ?
Duration @ .050 exhaust: ?
Valve lift at TDC Intake: ?
Valve lift at TDC Exhuast: ?
Combustion Chamber size in CCs
Valive diameter Intake
valve diameter exhaust
again, if anyone can point me in the right direction, id be greatly indebted to you, any informatin will help very much.

Cubic Inch displacement: 1595cc
bore size: 83mm
stroke: 77mm
Rod Length: ?
Rod Small end width: ?
thickness above pin: 21.0 mm
block height: ? (its stock)
deck clearance: ? (Stock)
compression height? (If known)
head gasket thickness: 0.029 inches
Combustion chamber volume: 42.70cc
Camshaft specs: I suggest you get the specs of a future cam you would like to use. They are asking for this information for valve relief that they will put in the piston.
EDIT: LOOKY what I found. http://raceseek.com/honda_specs.htm

If I were you, I would call their tech line.
More than likely, they have thwe specs that you need already.
Just tell them what block application, and that it is 83mm bore...
let us know what happens

Rod Length: ?
Rod Small end width: ?
thickness above pin: 21.0 mm
block height: ? (it's stock) 263mm's
deck clearance: ? (Stock) yup = 0.020"
compression height? (If known) you mean cc's of dome?? PR3 slugs have a 6.01cch's of dome... P30's have 0.92 over a PR3
Wasn't too much help here^^ hahaha oh well
GSR cams are better than B16 but i would still consider using a CTR/ITR IN and GSR/'R EX...
Here's the specs for the GSR's that you plan too use...
IN (1mm)
opens @ 10° before TDC
closes @ 40° after BDC
lift = 10.6 mm's
diameter = 33 mm's
duration = 230°
EX (1mm)
opens @ 40° before BDC
closes @ 7° after TDC
lift = 9.8mm's
diameter = 28 mm's
duration = 227°
An SiR1 would have the same numbers for the IN cam minus 0.5mm of lift, EX are the exact same...
THIS IS WHY SPADE and I WOULD RECOMMEND A CTR/2000+ITR intake cam and CTR/ITR exhaust cam over B16A (if you have a GSR exhaust cam then i wouldn't worry about gettin an R exhaust.. It's just not goin to do a whole hell of a lot over the GSR)
IN (1mm)
opens @ 18° before TDC
closes @ 45° after BDC
lift = 11.5 mm's
diameter = 33 mm's
duration = 243°
EX (1mm)
opens @ 45° before BDC
closes 10° after TDC
lift = 10.5 mm's
diameter = 28 mm's
duration = 235°
Good Luck

Also I was just wondering... What is soo special about this custom piston?? What brand?? If they already make pistons for VTEC motors (such as JE, etc.) then just have them use a VTEC setup and build the dome and valve reliefs to your specs unless you are modifyin the bottom side of the piston (the wrist pin, etc.) Peace

Not to stray to much off topic, your not the only person i've heard say GSR cams are better than a B16a's. I'm just curious how, I see your posted specs but here's to different sites that say they are exactly the same:
http://www.g-speed.com/pbh/b16a/
http://sales.hondatwincam.com/modelspecs.htm
BTW, there's specs for both JDM and USDM.
(I'm not looking for a fight, just clarification.)

ive been meaning to post earlier but...
All B-series engines have a 81mm bore..EXCEPT..! the B20....
as for rod specs.. this should help..
