Default H22A

Has anyone on this board put this engine into their 3rd gen prelude. If so, please help me with some info. I was wondering how hard the Hydrolic to cable conversion for the clutch system would be since a B20A5 transmission is Hydro and an H22a is Cable. Thanks

H22a is NOT a "cable" tranny.. It is shifted by cables yes, but the clutch action is hydrolock like most newer honda's.. A "cable" tranny is one considered to use a cable for the clutch action, which a prelude is not...

hrm.. i always thought the cable ment if it was a cable from the shifter... which makes more sense to me. The prelude's use the cable from the shifter to the tranny, whereas my 98 civic used a solid connection to the tranny, which the 1 rod controlled both the push and pull... the cable connections use atleast 2 cables, one to move it outward and one inward.

No Cable trannies have there clutch engagment controled
by a cable. Hydro Tranies are controlled by fluid.
