i wouldnt call myself a wiring genious, but i have tackled a really tough project a si-standard conversion. yes an si-standard, not standard-si. i put a dpfi 1.5 and a four speed into an si. i used the standard harness too. it SUCKED. i had to cut the main plugs cause they wouldnt fit together obviously, and had to figure out which wires were which, and run them back to the ecu. it took a good couple of days. you could do this, but you would need a dx wiring diagram and an actual SIR wiring diagram, i think. the only thing you have to do is basically make sure the right sensors are wired to the right ecu pins. its tough, but totally do-able. or you could just got a junkyard and spend 20 minutes pulling a wiring harness off a dx or standard model. making your own wiring harness basically from scratch does allow you to put the wires wherever you want, so you can make a really clean looking engine bay. you either have to be really smart or really really stupid to do this. the reason i did it was because i was stupid, but in doing it i got really smart....kinda. i had to make the si into a standard cause it was a POS and we robbed all the good parts off of it and made our cars better. we bought it for 700 bucks and sold it for 1000....not too bad. we had to do about 20 hours of body work to it also, but it was a straight up standard model when we were done....man we are idiots.

I thought that the JDM hanresses were opposite compares to our US versions(the disconnects are on different sides) so it would not fit right. can you confirm this?

ok.... so it is very possible. everything actually plugs in except for one plug. so what your saying is that if i make that plug work it might all go together.... has anyone actually used the sir harness and have a diagram of some kind. or know what goes where. thanks agian.

MPFI harnesses don;t work in DPFI cars. You need to get a DPFI harness and modify to to work with the B16A. This means changing plugs and adding any extra wires.

just as crx-rx said. The interior harness is different. actually if you pull up all your carpet there is enough slack in the stock harness to reach the other side. so the interior harness might be the same (but I'm not 100% on that) but If you ever buy a ZC and get the whole factory wiring harness it's all plug and play. no splices whatsoever.
