is there a way to compression check a motor while its out of th car
say i went to a junkyard that has an b18c full swap is there a way i could compression check it before buying it thanks
A compression test would be a little difficult since you would have to crank the motor by hand... however you could leakdown test it and it would give you more info than a compression test would on what kind of condition the motor is in... Peace
Actually if you had a car battery and hooked up a 4-6 gauge wire from the positive terminal on the battery to the post on the starter, ran a 16 gauge wire to the start solenoid, and run the ground on the tranny to the negative terminal on the battery, it would work. Just make sure you hold the throttle open and take out all of the plugs.
