are obx coilovers good?

what so bad about obx?
i have obx headers and exhaust, but i want to get rid of it cus i cant pass smog.

 

Are any of you guys speaking from actual experience?? You do know that Skunk2 springs are used on the OBX coilover system right? yet its still priced 100 less...
I have the obx coilovers matched with kyb.. i must say it rides real nice

 

where did you read/hear that OBX uses skunk2 springs?

well I wouldnt doubt that the ride would be good with aftermarket shocks. But speaking with personal expierence, lowered all the way with stock shocks, the ride was HORRIBLE. This was on an 89 hatch.

 

The reason your ride was horrible is because the stock shocks were bottoming out and the spring was floating.

i was told they have the same perches as Ground Control
and now someone says they have the same springs as Skunk2?

for $250 it sounds like it would be a good deal for the quality mentioned

 

Yeah, For some reason people like to flame OBX Racing stuff alot, I would like to see the people that flame OBX back up there gripes with actual fact. I can't tell you about their coilovers, But I can say my full stainless exhaust(Header, High-Flow Cat and Cat-Back) is top notch quality and also has a nice deep throaty sound along with fantastic mid-range performance gains. No insult intended toward anyone! Just voicing my 2 Cents.

 

yea...obx isnt that bad @ all... they just get put in the apc category because they are a newer company..

not flamming obx or apc..i understand how new companies always get **** on (even my own company). God knows what people said about skunk when they first came out. I had the original skunkworks coilovers..still work like a champ and i'm 'bout to take it out of my 98 civic and put it in my hatch.

FYI - Skunk2 use eibach springs, so does GC.
