will 18x8.5 rims fit???
i was wandering if 18x8.5 inch rims will fit on a 97 prelude??? i have heard they would then i have heard they wouldnt?? and i was wandering if i could put a eibach pro-kit springs on it after i get the rims w/out it rubbing??
i dont think that they will fit unless you get a widebody kit. i think the widest you can go is about 7.5
18"s are toooooooooooooo big. First tell us why you want a rim that large then we'll tell you why you don't want a rim that large.
I hope you're not a blinger.

I don't see what the big deal is with 18's.
Everyone has different tastes in cars. Some people like performance, some people like looks.
Hell, I would even consider getting 19's. I think they look good.

well, for one they will slow you down. two, you will have to roll your fenders in order to fit them. three, tires are more expensive and they wear out quicker. four, comfort goes out the window. you need more reasons?

but they appear to have a lower roof line.. so to me (just my opinion) the wheels look to large for the car...
18x8.5 WILL fit it just depends on the offset, I have on my car now 18x 8 (with 42 offset I think) and they rub only because of the funky offset that I have, my last rims where 18x 8 and they never rubbed. I think that 18 or 19's are the only way to go with 5th gens. My last prelude (5th gen) I had 17's on it and I really thought that they would tooooo small. 18x8.5 WILL fit you just need to get a higher offset thats all (but not too much cause your calipers will hit). The biggest rim ive ever seen on a 5th gen was 19x8.5 in the front and 19x11 in the rear this lude had a "real" wide body kit though..............

I have 17" and I would have rather got 16"s
