Default How do you properly charge the car battery?

My car has been in storage for a few months now and everything was ok until I forgot to turn off the interior light and killed the battery. I have jump started the R 3 times now and last time I took it out for a quick spin. If I jump start it again how do I properly charge it do I
A: let it idle for a long time or
B: drive it around for a while

My friend told me B but I was under the impression A would work.

After it is charged I will diconect the battery (what I should of done in the first place)

Let it idle for a bit and then drive on the highway for some time to let the battery recharge. I think this is one way.

Thanks. Could my battery be dead also? Last time it only held the charge for about 4 days. When i went to start it it just clicked away.

Could easily be time for a new battery. The OEM one has a warranty too.

Possibly...
Try driving on the highway for some time....driving on the streets, doing short trips will not help much in recharging the battery.

if you have time you should use a batttery charger instead of "jumping" the battery. a mechanic buddy of mine said, after constant jumps the battery life is reduced significantly.
