You tell me what fits. If a del Sol VTEC short ram fits, I'll get that. If an 00 Si short ram fits, I'll get that. Anyone have a short ram on thiers?

del slow should work. 99-00 Si will work for sure. I think Any short ram will work. I have just some custom one. I heave seen ppl use the J's Racing for ITR and that work just fine.

EDIT: Damnit I keep thinking sec. Gen. Sorry. But they should still fit.

ill let you know pat. someone i know has an 87 si with a d16a1 motor. he has an aem cai for a second gen crx and it was a perfect fit! im trying to get over to try it out just gotta find the time. the custom one i used on my zc is too big for the B16 throttle body so im hoping this does the trick.

pat, I seriously think you are stressing too much over this. I think damn near any short ram from any car would fit. The full AEM CAI for a '00 si fits in our cars, why wouldn't short ram? All it is is like 1' of pipe on a 120* angle with a filter on it. Just make sure you get a decent sized diameter piping. a 00 si should work fine. Look in the classifieds, they are way overpriced brand new.

EDIT: I just noticed you said first gen CRX. If their is ample room for a b16, I hope a short ram can fit in there. If not, cut the piping shorter or make your own out of simple summit racing piping.

Is there any difference between an AEM del Sol VTEC short ram intake and a Civic Si intake? I probably am stressing too much, I might just make one out of empty Pepsi bottles and duct tape

Ther probably isn't, since the engine bays are generally enough the same. The short ram piping is probably generic on most of their applications. I seriously wouldn't buy one for much more than 60 since the filters are like 40 I think.

Cheapest I've found was at coximports.com, they had a short ram for a del sol VTEC for $89 with free shipping. I'll probably just buy that unless I can find someone on here that has one for sale, but thats pretty unlikely.
