i'm changing the low beams on my brothers car and i wanna know what type of bulbs i use ?? i have some 9006 hyper white type bulbs lying around that i don't use. can i use them for my bro's car ??

 

90-93 accord, high beam 9006, low beam 9005.
i know some people do what's called a 9006 conversion which you modify the 9006 plug so the low beam wires fit in it and you use 9006 for your low beams. you could try that i guess. some people say it works good.

 

Eh, modding the lights isnt all that necessary, The bulbs are the 9006 and 9005, I put some Autozone hyper-whites on, and they work well. the hi-beams work REALLY well.

 

sorry, but modding the lights is necessary. The 9006 bulbs have a single groove in them where the wiring harness plugs in and the 9005 has dual grooves so they dont fit unless you take a knife and cut out that groove.

 

you need to cut to fit a 9006 to 9005

ah....you know that you can actually remove the blue tint of your
super white(silver capped, with blueish tint) bulbs

 

actually the 9006 is the low beam and the 9005 is the high.

wow...someone finally caught that, yes, the 9006 is low beam and 9005 is high beam. i made a mistake.

and, how do you remove that tint? fingernail polish remover?
