McGrath Acura of Westmont, IL -
Well I took my car to get the 37,500 mile service yesterday and I decided to go to McGrath Acura, which is a brand new dealership in the Chicago area. I paid $113 for the fookin' service, which was kind of a rip off... but they did fix a couple of squeaks and rattles in my car so I'm happy. The sales dude in the service department was uber-helpful, I asked him if he could print out the service records for my car, and instead he spent about a half hour going through everything that was ever done in the past on my car. Definately some good customer service if nothing else.
You Chicago boys need to check out this dealership's service bay, it's ******* HUGE, like I wish I had brought my camera huge. I would say that they had AT LEAST 20 car lifts, I was pretty impressed
ALSO, they have over 40 loaner cars (according to the guy) so I got a '00 LS to tool around in for the day while they played with my car. I was pretty suprised they gave me a loaner when I came in to get a service check done, I originally called Continental Acura in Lisle and they basically told me to go **** myself when I asked them about loaners

Well, a positive review of a dealership. That's a rarity. Glad you were pleased with the service. I just wish I could say the same for my dealership.

Good service, a little expensive... but you get what you pay for I suppose.
My dealer's their service dept. leaves something to be desired especially for the money they charge. But that ok
, I
doing my own work anyway.
Pauly Acura, though... I avoid like the plague b/c of the sales staff. Parts is good there, though.
You shouldn't judge the service department based on the sales guys. Heck, even at Woodfield Acura, the sales guys are, well, sales guys, even though the service and parts folks rock. You know what they say about sales people:
Q: How can you tell when a salesman is lying?
A: Whenever you can see his lips move.

I've had good service w/the McGrath in Glenview...they hooked me up w/a bunch of free misc. parts (like interior clips, screws, front plate mount, etc.). Woodfield Acura has been decent as well. I let them do a valve adjustment on my car
...and it ticked like crazy afterwards, but of course they fixed it, no charge.
