Default 4th gen radiator question.

Ok, saturday night while out playing around, I heard a pop and then sounded like I was purging for a second. (no I dont have nitrous)..
We pop the hood and there is radiator fluid all over my engine bay, and it looks like it came from my cap. My resivoir is empty, but the radiator is still full. My car does not over heat or anything, just every once and a while when I run the car hard, I pop my hood to see more coolant has been sprayed onto the engine.

Help???

I have been told that maybe I have a blockage, and others have told me that the cap was bad and just releasing pressure to easily when under load.

thoughts?

Thanks

i would just replace your cap and see what happens, they are cheap and easy to replace. my thoughts are that your cap is NOT releasing pressure and it is somehow commine through your reserve hose into ther res and out into the engine bay. which means something in your cooling sys is not working efficiently enough to cool the car.

replace radiator cap, make sure the line from the radiator to your reseviour isn't clogged...

well the odd thing is that I can fill the res up, and then it will be empty when it sprays.. so I am pretty sure the line is not clogged. And the fact that I am not over heating just makes me more confused.

is the line to the reservoir damaged maybe has a hole so whenever the water goes back from the cap opening it sprays out
