Are all F seires parts interchangeable? (doing swap)
Well i wanna know if all f seires parts are interchangeable(like B & D series)
I have a 93 accord and i really want to keep it forever. My wife loves it as much as i do. I wanted to get a really new motor say....... 97 through 2000 accord motor.
* i have searched around and found out that the adverage price is about $1,200 to about $1,600 for a really mint low milage(less than 10k)
*I would rather get the 98-2000 F23.
-will my 93 intake manifold work on the F23? (95% sure it will)
-what axels do i need?
"i heard that 90-93 & 94-2001 axels are different ?
-MOUNTS........... which ones will i need from my car and from them motor?
Wiring shouldn't be all that hard.
I really want to keep my 4thgen for a long long time.. so help me out.
Give any experience you may have.

the F23 has a different TB and plenum design than the F22. the FITV has been eliminated. coolant routing is just a little bit different going to the IAC. Don't know if the actual manifold will bolt right up. buy a f22 and a f23 IM gasket and line them up.
Exhaust manifold is different, don't even think about it.
you should be able to use your existing mounts.
I've seen a F23 in a 4th gen accord. I've got no idea who it was though. I've seen the guy here and on HS both, but I'm pretty sure he sold the car. If you could find him though, I'm sure he could help you out.
you will either have to convert the car to OBD2 or the motor to OBD1
F23 ECUs have the immobilizer on them. there are back doors, but think about how you want to deal with it. It may run just fine on a 96 - 97 ECU.

the hell with OBD-2.... (suck ballz)
I intending on staying with OBD-1 that i already have.
I also will be using a OBD-1 Ex vtec ECU and tune it with a AFC for the upper RPM power band. The EX ecu whould be fine for daily driving.... may need a little bit more fuel pressure though
damn who is that guy that did the swap???? I need to find out manG!
I mean it's not an amazingly hard swap but i just want to find out all the
inportant FYI, bewares, and small tips.
help me out here fellas.
If i can't get enough info on this I'll SELL my accord & get a new stock car heheh...

try and find something cheaper than that. for another 100 bucks you could get an h22a swap w/ everything.
If i wanted power and speed i would of invested into my civic like i have so far.
I want a new motor with reiablity.
hey..my cousin knows some that had that put a f23 into a 94 accord...wasn't too hard..he just used all f23 mounts except the driver one...you just have to unbolt it from the block and put the mount from the f22 one on there and it should fit just fine if i remember correctly.. you might be able to do this in the 93 also...i'll check with my cousin when he gets outta class to confirm this and get back to ya about it. hope this helps

dont know if this will help, but here is a picture. it looks like the ports are spaced further apart. id say it could be done, but with some work.
*i wasnt aware that that year f22 had dual runner intakes.

hey, sorry for taking so long but i forgot all about this post (daymn alcohol!)...i just confirmed it with my cousin and he said that his friend just took off the driver side mount from the block and bolted on the f22 one and then the motor just bolted right in..so i think it might work in your car too.
You know I always wondered why the S2000 engine is part of the F series. Anyone care to explain? I see absolutely no similarities except that some of the F series engines feature VTEC and that they're all I4, but what else? The S2000 engine should've been called L20 or M20. Or something along those lines...
