Shifter wobbly, Can it be adjusted to be tougher?
I'm doing a swap for somebody and the first thing they said when they got in the car was the shifter felt very loose. It does move around very very easily, but it engages in each gear. He wants it so it feels kind of tough I guess? It's a different transmission but we're still using his same shift linkage. I dont know how the trans could have changed that?
Question 2: Is it normal that when the car is jacked up and running the passenger wheel will slowly spin in neutral? You can stop it but it will very slowly start back up.

Hmm is that, add washers to the bolt with the big bushing, or the other one that moves? Anyone else have this problem, he seemed really freaked by it too, I guess I was just used to it.
Buy Poly shifter bushings. It will tighten up everything, and give you a nice feel. Also make sure everything is bolted correctly.
Never bought bushings before, I'm pretty sure like all of us he'd like to go with the nicest product out there? Any recommendations or any brands to stay away from. Are bushings application specific, would they differ from using the Si linkage rather than using linkage for a 89 Integra (cut for b16)? If not I guess I might order myself some too.

If its a B-series swap, then your definatly going to want the bushings for a 90-93 integra. The stabilizer bushing where it bolts to the trans is different.
And like was said above, check the bolts on the actual shifter itself where it bolts to the linkage. The shifter bearing itself can actualy be the cause as well, as it was on my CRX when i bought it.

Just get a shorty shifter...comes with the bushings already. Much better than just sticking with a stock shifter. My stocker felt like I was shifting with a broom handle, then I put a shorty in and what a difference. Just my opinion.
Call 407-699-9799 and tell em your looking for energy suspension shift bushings they have on clearance. They will help you with the application (they are basically universal but there are 2 versions). They will be $6.52 shipped!
If you mention your from group buy center they may give you another 10% off (they did for me anyways).
Peace

you probably need to replace the Spring pin. Those usually go bad after awhile and make the shifter really loose. that and get a shift bushing kit. After that it'll be better than new.
I had alot of play/wobble in my shifter. I replaced the little pin with a new one in the linkage that is near the tranny. for the rear i just torqued down until the linkage pinched closely to the shifter bottom where the bearing is. It got too tight at first. So i went back and forth in and out of the car shifting till i got what i liked. washers would have worked also though. i jus used the pinch method.
