Need help, what exhaust will support about 200 hp at the wheels
I am currently putting down 181hp at the wheels and plan to get to 200hp. My current Greddy PE exhaust is gone and I need a replacement. What off the shelf exhaust will allow for 200hp normally aspirated at the wheels as well as not being too loud.
Currently I am considering the Skunk2/RSR one but I can't seem to find any specs on it such as pipe diameter etc.. I like the Skunk as it is reasonably priced for an all stainless exhaust that includes the silencer. I track the car about 8 to 10 times a year so an exhaust that is not too loud but will not hurt hp that much is what I am looking for.
Any other suggestions? I tried the search but there does not seem to be any info on it.
Thanks,
AW

I thought the Skunk2 exhaust with silencer would not be that loud as RSR exhausts are generally not that loud. I expect it to be loud without the silencer but I plan to take out the silencer only at the track.
What are the Specs on the Buddy Club? How much? Anyone have any experience on the JIC models?
Thanks,

and can still be quiet as well

Raymond does not have a mandrel pipe bender so it would not flow as well.

I don't plan on making 200hp at the wheels with a quiet exhaust, I plan on making 200hp at the wheels with the silencer removed. Don't really mind the reduced performance on the street with the silencer in. Also keep in mind that I am comparing my current exhaust to a new one that actually muffles the sound. Currently my Greddy PE with straight pipe and no insulation left in the muffler is almost as loud as a straight pipe.
Mugen is nice but too expensive for me and I thought it would limit my power to the wheels more than a N1 style muffler.

You might want to wait until the new T1R setup arrives at A&J Racing at the end of January. It will be an improved 2.5" setup with an available silencer.

Buddy Club Spec III looks very nice but how loud is this thing with the silencer? Spec II seems to be in the same price range as the Skunk2?RSR exhaust. Are spring connectors better than flange? I have seen spring connectors on headers but never on exhausts? Can't seem to find the pipe diameter on the Buddy Club exhausts or SKunk2 exhausts? Which is larger?

Custom 2.5 b pipe and a mugen exhaust would be my favorite....
the OD of the skunk2 is only 2.25.
False info on mugen exhaust. Does not rob hp on a street car.
I make 270hp and the exhaust does not restrict me.

Wouldn't it be different considering you have forced induction? I know that I saw NA type R with mugen exhaust switch to an Apex N1 with no silencer and it made a few more horses.
Didn't EP on this board change his Mugen exhaust to Apex as well to get more hp?

Greddy is nice but I didn't mention that I am also looking at full stainless exhausts only. Greddy is not full stainless and will eventually rust out as my current Greddy PE did.
