Tokico Illuminas adjust knob
I just bought some gently used illuminas, but they didn't come with the adjustment **** on the top (front shocks).
a) would pliers work fine for adjustment?
b) Since i don't have the ****, i don't know... is stiffer clockwise, or counterclockwise?
c) where could i get replacement *****?

b)They have 5 positions, which give a little click when you are in one. It goes around infinitely, 1-2-3-4-5-1-2-3...
1 is least resistance to 5 being the most
call Tokico or ask a Tokico dealer for parts.

I think it it more resistance clockwise. The thing about it is: say it is on 3 right now, you go clockwise two clicks and are at 5, you go clockwise one more click and you're back at one. It just keeps going around again and again. It would be safer to say a certain "clock" position equates to a shock setting.

Try this...Turn the shaft with what ever you can reach it with.Turn it counter clockwise and at each "click" push down on the car.you will know when you get to the 1-5 spot when you can bounce the car easily and then on the next counter clockwise "click" youcan barely push the car down......Also it doesn't matter which way you turn the shaft normally the settings are 1-2-3-4-5-1-2-3-4-5.....It's just easier to tell initially by turning counterclockwise to find that "5-1" click.Hope this helps
