Default f'cked ignition switch?

well i went to start my crx up after a month in hibernation...well i was in a rush and shoved the key in the ignition...turned it and later realized i didnt put the key in entirely...so now the car runs with out the key in the switch...and i cannot get the switch back to the off position...the farthest i can get it is the #1 possition...and it keeps making that annoying "ting tong ting tong" noise when the door is opened...i tried jiggling the key and ignition but i gave up....do i need a new switch?...

Sounds like you need a new one. You can try and remove it and flip it back down manually and see if that works.

If you need to replace it thens its not so bad. What hurts a little is the price($60). The install gets complicated when you have other wires spliced to your ignition harness. But really its not bad.

You can get a new Key Cylinder at AutoZone for $38. I just replaced mine.
