this topic is more aimed towards bisimoto, but it seems that exospeed might be in this territory also... i was wondering if a 12 second d16 motor would be streetable and how much it would cost?

 

well since I got to this first. im sure Bisi will see this soon if he's in town.

a street D16 is of course possible. not counting Nitrous, you can do a carburated D16 with a stock block and get into the 12's with a proper cam and head setup. Bisi was doin 12's way back in late 90's (96-99?) with a street carbed setup.

Im assuming you are asking for all motor applications. a 12 sec fuel injected is also possible with a basic bottom end and head combination. you dont even have to do any rod upgrade or sleeves. (if interested in one feel free to call us 818-355-6156)

from what we know now... its doable to do an 11second daily driven sohc. of course its not sumthing i'd recommend taking to work 100 miles roundtrip. but its something that you can drive on the streets.
