Anyone raced a RSX type s yet?
My homie has one and i want to race him. Im not worried at all, i think its all up to the drivers. Same HP. Lude has more torque though. And the RSX is lighter but not by much the RSX are pretty hefty. So all you lude heads wish me luck.
Peace

I ran my friend's RSX TypeS the other day. He has an intake, downpipe and chipped ecu (higher revs, lower vtec engagement..etc). He run's a 14.2 at the track with those 3 mods. I am in a stock 93 Prelude Si with a passenger.
We started from a 10mph roll, upto about 70.. we were pretty damn even untill top of 3rd -> 4th shift where he started to wax our ***. We let off once his rear bumper got to our front bumper, as we knew it was all over with anyway. But, given you have the H22 and the RSX is stock (assumption) I think you have him.
Good luck

Hit him up on AIM, Silockthegreat. He is an Admin over at clubsi. He used to own a fully JUN III setup ITR and is a killer driver. On the interstate, he runs almost dead even with our friend in a 13.2 second WRX. The TypeS will haul *** on the interstate, no joke about that. On the track, they really do run quick with a good driver.
BTW, I messed up one of the mods.. he dosent have a downpipe, he has a testpipe instead of the cat.
EDIT: He can give you time slips and videos of his runs, incase you don't take his word

i have taken a couple RSXs in my 5th gen back when it was N/A, i have been beaten by a couple too. it's really hard to say who will win, a big part of it is driving, and the other part is who gets a good start.
friend in our club is running 14.5 on street tires and an aem intake. trap speeds are in the area of 94-95mph. another friend in our club with intake and exhaust is running 14.7 with 95mph traps. this is all day long at the track and not just their best times.
sorry, but if you've ever driven an rsx type s, it feels like it has more torque then the h22a. it might not on paper but the driving experience tells you otherwise.

sorry again, but just because a gearbox has 6 gears doesn't mean the gears are shorter. that's a myth.
the rsx type s gearing isn't too short at all. pretty comparable to an h22a tranny.
also, i thought the h22a was smooth. these damn k series motors ride like caddy's.

It totaly comes down to the better driver...both are very smiliar...sadly but true, the new rsx type -s has less ware and tare therefore it will perform better than the prelude..
i have a 4th gen vtec with intake and reduced weight and i have beaten many rsx but i also have betean stoc rsx type s and been able to beat a modded rsx off the line... it really all comes down to the better driver

The RSX I raced I have a feeling I beat becuase he was new, and still learnig his car..between shifts he would pull slightly, when shiftin I would pull, luckily I got the jump on him
If the same driver got in both cars and drove down the track, the RSX would be faster. With i/h/e, the RSX will be faster. My friend has CAI/Hondata/Azenis. His best time is 14.02@100mph. Here is his last best timeslip, he hasnt uploaded his new time yet.
