i have a 16V head that im going to use to replace my 8 V CX head .. how can i make sure the Head in my room will be in timing when i put it on? is there any way to match up the cam gear position exactly so i can just take one off and drop the new one on? also will i need a different timing belt when going from a 8V to a 16V?

There should be marks on the cam gears which notes Top Dead Center. Having knowledge on how to change a timing belt will help you out on this swap, it's fairly easy. Check out c-speedracing.com for their how-to on changing a timing belt.
