Default Is it worth it? *Your Thoughts*

I have a 1999 Honda Civic EX SOHC V-TEC. (5spd)
Now my question to all of you...Is it worth it to acually add bolt-ons and modify this engine? I keep changing my mind...I don't know what to do! Well thanks for your help! -Jon

is it worth it? clerify what you mean by worth it. i have a 99 Si with 'bolt ons' and i only gained ruffly 8-14 hp. but with the fact that i payed for it by myself and enjoyed putting the parts on myself, i would say yes in my case it was worth it to have the satisfaction of doing it myself and learning as i went along.

Couple of questions:

— How much power do you want?
— Is the car going to be a daily driver, drag monster, or circuit star?
— How much do you want to spend?

That will help people to give you better, more relevant answers.

if you want to go fast period, i would sell the EX and get a 5th gen hatch. if you want to go fast in your current ride, swap that shiot biotch! and if you want the satisfaction of modifying what you have, yeah, throw some money at the ol' Y8

You need to be specific.

What is a decent amount of power?
