Mugen LCD Instrument Cluster at Tokyo Auto Salon 2003
Found another site with more Tokyo Auto Salon pictures and I found this cool one from Mugen's Accord Euro R; though the picture is sorted blurry because it seems like the picture was taken with the window up! But can see the LCD Instrument Cluster from Mugen!

The human eye can read analog gauges much faster - that's a given in a passenger car. Now if you have space constraints like in an F1 car - that's a different story.
You can get a Hot Lap timer to do the same thing.

and LCD displays are incredibly hard to read easily in sunny conditions or even regular daylight
the primary motivation for digital instrument displays is space constraints, weight savings, and ease of use.
personally, i don't think the Mugen unit does much for either of the three factors
Bump, I wonder if these would ever be for sale. I highly doubt it. I remember there's a site somewhere where you could purchase a digital cluster, anyone know of this site? It was posted a long time ago, it basically has a blue background, with a small digital reading under the center tach which could read anything from speed, to HP, to A/F.

The Mugen LCD is very nice... although I don't think I would need it...
Does anyone know what the "rings" around the "62" on the LCD Display measures?
