hatch strut question

will the rear hatch gas struts from a 96 teg fit a 98?
its a different part number through honda, but they didn't change much from one year to the next, did they?

i got some from my friend that works at the dealership and he said they came off of a 00 integra . i put them onto my 94 . they should work .
