oil filters
Just wonderng what filters you guys use. Ive been using the FRam double or tough guard when changing the oil. Usually never get 3,000 miles on an oil change, depending on how many events we attend. i lIke changing the oil after every event but sometimes i dont get around to it. I recently heard Fram was no good. Anyone have any input on this one...... Thanks, Shane
OEM for me
Does anyone remember the site that had a review of about 10 different filters? The guy had popped all the filters open / had pics and had an article / review about each one.

I just use OEM Honda filters. There was a link to a good site about this kind of thing, but I do not remember it at this time. If I remember correctly, the cheapest FRAM filters did suck, but if you bought the premium ones (whatever they call them) the quality was much better. I am oversimplifying Im sure, maybe someone can post that site. Try searching, it will probably come up (search archived threads).
i will most likely buy a case of filters from Manchester honda..
The filters are like $4 each I believe....
definitely use hparts.com. Before I knew about them, I went to Manchester, and while it is cheaper than local dealerships, it still usually is not as cheap as hparts.

i like tube socks
but seriously.. there is a thread covering which filters are the best built. And according to the reviewer, FRAM was one of the worst (mostly made out of cardboard..)

inlinefour.com hamp is an excellent filter but if you dont feel like spending 12 bucks i'd go with a puralator or a napa gold...try and stay away from fram ...i read some bad stuff about them such as filter fragments found it the oil from hard driving.

I personally only use Mobil One filters...
They're made by Champion Labs [the filter ppl, not the spark plug company]. Champ Labs also makes the K&N that I mentioned above, and even Wal-Mart 'store brand' oil filters. At 10 bones each, Mobil 1 filters are a rip-off, IMHO, but to each his own. You can buy the same filter at Wal-mart, painted black, for about $2.00.
Here's a copy 'n' paste from Todd Marcucci's most excellent NTPOG Oil Filter Review. READ AND HEED:

The Bosch [$4.99 - BDC] appears to be of excellent quality. The Bosch, Mobil 1, and STP appear to all use identical materials and construction, with only the Mobil 1 having a different filter media (appears to be coated). The pleat seperation/uniformity does not appear as good as the Mobil 1 or STP filters, though this may be a manufacturing issue (I may have gotten an odd one). The Bosch, Mobil 1, and STP bypass valve utilizes a stiffer spring than any of the others and a rubber seat/seal which should help prevent leakage. This filter is well made and looks to be an identical (though more expensive) alternative to the STP.
The STP [$2.86 - BDC] appears to be of excellent quality. I can't comment on the effectiveness or any additional filtering or benefit to the Mobil 1 filter, though Mobil 1 claims it's more effective. Check out the last pic for a shot of a used Mobil 1- this is a 1 month old filter with 1000 hard miles and conventional (non synthetic) oil. Let this be a reminder to you to change your filter regularly!
