Default for those with gsr seats in their CRX...

im trying to swap my CRX Si seats out for these 2001 gsr leather seats that i got. i searched on the topic and tried to swap the outer rails like one thread said. but the holes for outer rail on the CRX don't match up with the holes on the GSR seat! they are like half a centimeter apart. should i just drill through the mounting location on the gsr seat?

how did you guys do the seat install?

im just trying to swap outer rails, and mount it down with three matching bolts, like the thread said. any ideas, tips?

I bolted mine straight to the floor. you sit really high if you use the seat rails. I love the way the seats sit now.

if you use gsr seat rails it will sit uneven. You can rig it up so it works but it sits too high. i could open my sunroof and sit up staight and look out the top of my car while i was driving. I bent my rails up and made custom brackets so all four bolt holes lined up and it sat even, but i wasnt happy with my head touching the roof when i drove, so i now bolted them to the floor, with no seat rails at all, sits perfect, cant move the seat back or forward, but i dont care now only people about my height can drive my car.

well im pretty short, about 5'7'' so i dont think ill have the problem of my head touching the ceiling. anyone else have a better idea? should i just punch out a hole to bolt the outer CRX seat rail onto the gsr seat, then use three bolts to hold it down? will the seat at least be even this way?

well been drilling out the mounting location on the front of the outer seat rail so the CRX outer seat rail can fit.

i stopped and i measured the distance in between the front bolts in the car, and its between 15-16 inches...and the distance in between front bolts on the GSR seat is like 18 inches! what should i do?

no no no
ghetto rig ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i got 01 itr seats in my rex bolted up
basically u use your crx bottom pan, wraped in the gsr leather and plush along with the crx hinges and the gsr tops, i cut and rewelded my hinges to make the seat less reclined (teg seats + crx hinges = reclined like a homie seat)
they fit good and feel good, IM me for more info

having trouble getting the top bolt off of the GSR recliner - pulled the zippers, but the bolt is way up on the upper part of the seat covered by the plush/leather...
