I installed it myself with another guy in our local prelude club (name on here is flyrod) so I have no idea.....if our shop were to install one, I'd imagine we'd charge like $800 or so plus parts....

i went to optionsautosalon.com and they didn't have the lsd listed for any preludes. just the integras, civics, accords. which one did you get?

We use the same LSD as the accords do.....so it's listed as accord, but in the description it lists prelude.....
$800 to install a quaife might be a little steep, but honestly that's what I'd charge....between dropping the tranny out of the car, disassembly of the tranny, install of the quaife, checking clearance for the shim, and putting everything back together and into the car it's a PITA.....it'd be smart to do an LSD at the same time as clutch/flywheel, since dropping the tranny is like half of the work....

A good tranny shop who has experience with Honda's did my install (I brought in the tranny by itself) and charged $150. Mission Gorge Automotive in San Diego, CA. Ask for "the Honda tranny guy."

Has anyone ever purchased a JDM tranny with factory LSD option? I'm considering doing that. Seems like it would be easier and cheaper than installing an aftermarket LSD into your own tranny, plus you'd get a 2nd tranny with lower mileage(for me at least anyhow.) Has anyone else done this, or have advice to give me on the idea??

Look up user Earl he sells quaffies every day of the week 365 days a year for 810 shipped. No GB price or bs just a great deal day in day out. Really hard to find it lower than that price wise.

get a clutch type lsd like kaaz or cusco or ats.
i my self am selling a clutch type lsd for the newer preludes(h22)... used good condition 300$
