Default Power Window

My power window on the drivers side moves extremely slow and sometimes stops. If I let up and try again it works. I am not sure what to think. I heard somtimes the track gets dirty? Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks

spray the sides of the window with silicon spray. i have to do that with mine especially after it rains. its kinda frustrating but i guess its better using that then replacing the molding itself.

Ah yes the infamous gimpy window!

From one fellow New Englander to another....isn't this snow the greatest? (cough cough)

This is an easy fix..get some WD-40 and Q-tips.
Spray the tips and run them in the window sides. You'll need alot of Q-tips cause you'll get alot of dirt in between the window gasket.
Run the windows a few times to let them get some of the lub.

You should be set after

If you guys really want to get crazy, you can try some "dry-lube". This is the same stuff they used in the Gulf war and Afganistan to lubricate M-16's bolts / general small arms lubrication. It's a graphite based (non-petroleum) lubricant that won't attract dirt. It's pretty cheap too...check your local gun store or surplus store.

Edit: this also won't destroy the rubber track - non-petrol

Honda actually sells a lubricant for the windows. I bought some, it ain't cheap but it works. Apply the same way you would do the wd-40.

Yeah whats up with Honda charging those prices...I guess its our fault for being so lazy.

I had a bad clip for aftermarket lights. So I asked the guy if he can fix it up.

Well he negleted to ask if he could cut the lines and charged me $13 by wiring it on the bulb.....charge $13.00. THANK SIR MAY I HAVE ANOTHER.

Kinda Off topic here, but I also have a problem with my passenger side window. You can roll down the window but you can't roll it back up. I can roll it up and down from the driver side though. Any suggestions?

You got a problem with the passenger wiring I bet. Take it apart and check it out for anything unusual.

Can't be the gears cause you said its works from the driver panel.

bad passenger side switch. Try yanking the rear passenger side (if a 4-dr) and wiring it up to test.

OR (to save the hassle of removing the 2nd switch) remove the 'faulty' switch and test for continuity with an electric multimeter. In the most extreme positions, up and down should both chime. If only one side is chiming, you know its the switch.

I wonder could you spray the whole winow with wd-40 and roll it up and down... would that work or would that be too much fluid?
