Spoon TB. What is that extra piece?
Here are the pics of a stock TB. Note the red circle:

Now here is a Spoon TB that I received as "kinda" a gift. Not the red circles again. The Spoon TB has a little PP sticking out:


Does any know what that extra piece is for??

dont worry about it....you can leave it open like that just put the throttle body on and drive. If it bothers you just put a lil rubber cap on the end of it...

But what is that originally for? This Spoon TB came from a JDM 96spec R. Does that make a difference?

Spoon TB is actually a stock unit, just that the inlet is bored larger then tapers down to the stock butterfly size. That's why some people said it's not a worthy "upgrade" for an ITR.
