insurance rates after theft? (buying another honda?)
Recently, my second honda was stolen from in front of my house. The first was a 97 integra. This time it was a 95 civic hatch hybrid.
Here's a link to a post I made about it if you're interested:

My rates didn't go up, since they were comprehensive claims. The question I'm searching for the answer to is this: If I decide to get another honda, will my rates on that car be redicilious? Sorry to pick on you ITR owners about this *touchy* subject, but I figured some of you have decided to go with another ITR after one was stolen.
I appreciate any help that is offered to me.
P.S. - I'm aiming for a G2 gsr as my next car. I'm in college, so I want something cheap, and something that already has a good motor and good chassis stock. (my $3000 from insurance doesn't go too far when looking for cars)

ultimately they blame you for the stolen car.
they just cant raise your rates because of comprehensive damage on the car, but the next car they will drop your rating and raise your rates. come on know, think a bit, the insurance company is a business after all.

I understand that my rates are going to go up if I go with another honda vehicle. What I want to know is if they are going to be so high that it will not be worthwile.
