difference between 96 cx bumper and 99dx 4door bumper

Is there any difference. There has to be now since my cousin's si lip for his 99 4door doesnt fit my ek hatch.

96-98 and 99-00 are different bumper designs.

You can massage the lip to fit (by cutting off the ends) however, it will always lie about an inch short on both sides of the end of the bumper, nearest the wheelwells. Doesn't look bad, but looks a little off, IMO. You could ebay that bad boy and pick up one of the ABS Dynamics "Type R" lips, they look almost just like the Si lip (they aren't a true replica of the OEM 96-98 Type R lip, more like a copy of the 99/00 oem one mated to a 96-98 bumper...)
