Installation of EBC "Green stuff" brake pads was a success.
My girlfriend's uncle and I installed the pads this morning. It took us roughly half an hour to complete the job with air tools and some tools that we needed to find. The job was easy. At first, my uncle thought he needed to disassemble the hand brake, but he found out all he needed to do was nudge the caliper out with a screw driver. Out came the old brake pads, in with the new. The driver side rear pad was pretty bad. Metal was touching metal, but, there were no signs of wear on the rotor so that is a good thing. First time driving around there was a LITTLE noise, but after a few stop and goes (very soft stop and goes) it went away. I hope everything is well. Thanks for all the tips and advice I got from here. That was the best $80.00 ever saved. I would have shelled out $80.00 on a brake pad job. Thank God for H-T.
I know two people that have had them. Neither has tracked their car, but both are frequent auto-xers.
Been much more than two months and both are still holding up well.
Both are 6 gen civics.
