Default OBD1 H22A timing questions

Now i know that the stock timing is set at 15 degrees (i dont even know what mine is set at) But heres what i wanted to know

1. Does the ECU adjust timing at warmup??
2. Does it change depending on driving conditions???

Reason im asking is because a buddy of mine told me that h22 ecu changes timing by itself...Im just checking because i thought that the only way to change timing was to do it manually.

all you do is rev the engine up until the coolings fans kick on then you can check the timing

yeah, some people (like myself) tried to move the distributor a tiny bit to advance timing, but it doesnt budge. i think the ECU controls timing, correct me if i am wrong though.

If you jump the service connector before starting the car it lock the timing so you can adjust it correctly. Yes, otherwise the timing is variable.

Im thinking what he means by that is basically wait untill the car has reached its proper operation temperature (heat cycle is what i think its called)
