Default ACT Clutchs and wear on the car

Hey, im running an ACT xtreme PP w/6 puck no spring disc. As of now, my tranny is great, but i have heard a few rumors that clutch setup eats trannies. Also, heard that it loosens intermediate shafts and rear mounts. Any truth to this? Being as i have never had an aftermarket clutch and this one came with the motor, im not that educated on the subject. I mean, logically, i suppose it could be true, but any non ******** replies are very much appreciated.

if you do burn outs with slicks, or speed/power shift something must give. stock clutch would usually slip in these situations, but a race clutch does not do that thefore all the vibration and stresses are put on the motor and tranny. blown diffs or other internal tranny problem can be then traced to that.

if you are not running a setup that requires that much of holding capacity. then keep using the Xtreme pressure plate but change to a stock disc. this way you get a little more holding capacity and less fade
