I have heard that the 5th gen ludes stock tacs. are off by around 300rpm to high. My afc reads lower then my tac does. Also i have been told we can shidt at the indicated 8K shift mark is this true?

what are floating valves?

 

correct me if i am wrong but i believe that is when the springs and retainer arent stiff enough to go back up, therefore the valves are floating.

 

Is it possible to calibrate the stock tach??? Or a way to replace the stock one still retaining the stock location in the dash?
