Hey guys,
I just swapped out my B18A for a B16A in my DA. How much would it cost to rebuild the bottom end of the B18A and what would it consist of to make it almost new?

Hey Will. Been a while.
Do you know Stan and Art? They're the local DIY guys that can help you out.
I can give you all the info you need, but you should also ask them for local help if you need it.
Piston rings (.25mm over-sized pistons too if you need to overbore)
Bearings - plastigage the ACL bearings from earl/2k_teg/camp1320 first, and if those don't plastigage well enough into spec, then use the OEM Honda bearings, but the ACL's are half as much and are never on backorder.
-a set of bearings consists of thrust (1 pair), mains (10 halves), and rod (8 halves)
Oil pan gasket
Oil pump pickup gasket
Head bolts (10)
Main bolts (10)
Head gasket
Flywheel cover main oil seal aka rear main seal
Oil pump main oil seal aka front main seal
Oil pump (optional)
Other things not included in the short block, but should be considered:
.valve seals
.timing belt
.water pump
.intake manifold gasket (if you remove the intake manifold from the head...it usually tears the paper gasket..use Permatex gasket remove to dissolve the paper gasket for removal)
Good luck will.

This will just be a slow process...probably work on it over the next few months. I need to save as much money as I can for my down payment on the G35.
Just wanted to know what all I needed. Didn't learn much as far as engine building when I worked at Intercrew. Good hearing from you B. Keep in touch.
