coilovers
ok, i did a search and found some answers but I want to make sure that they are right... First off I have a 90 Crx Si... In the search I found that they have the same rear LCAs as the ITR... Is this true? If it is than I will need to buy a coilover kit for an ITR right... But what about the front? The ITR is a lot heavier than the Crx so is that really the best choice? I was think about Apex'i N1's or W/S... Just not sure on what aplication to get them for?
Good thing you asked, actually you have it incorrect. The 88 rear LCA is similar to the Type-R (eyebolt style where the shock fits inside the LCA). 89-91 rear LCA's are the fork style mounting.

Well if you have a 90 Si, then any kit made for an 89-91 Civic/CRX. But I dodn't see A'PEXi listing anything @:
http://www.apexi-usa.com/suspension_applications.asp
Maybe you can ask them if they have other listings.
If you want to fit a kit made for a different chassis just to have this brand, you're most likely going to need other parts. For example, stuff for the 92-95 Civic's can be made to fit, but I believe you need the front forks from the EG. And even then the ride height may be too high even at the lowest setting. Or another example, stuff for the TypeR, you'd obviously need the other style rear LCA but then the spring rates may be too high for your car.
Do a search, I think some people have posted how this worked or didn't.
You'd probably save more time and headaches with parts originally designd for your car. Tien and Zeal should still make specific kits for an EF if you want to spend the money. Or you can go a cheaper route with some Koni Sports and Ground Control coilover sleeves w/whatever spring rate you prefer will get the same job done for a lot less.

the problem crx si was having was that the local shop showed no kits for a crx. so we thought that you might have to use the Eg's or something of the sort. we'll check on the ground controls though, thanx.

I purchased the Tein HA coilovers about 6 months ago for my 1990 Si and I had to by rear lower control arms at the junkyard from a 88 Civic. Everything bolted up easily. I had to do a very easy modification to my Suspension Tech. sway bar to make it fit but other than that the Teins were very easy to install and ride like a dream.
89-91 CRX Si have kits available from both Skunk2 and Ground Control. The shocks will be your issue in both cases. I use Koni "yellow" Sport and they went in just fine. I might add that the kit that Skunk I ordered from Skunk have higher spring rates-much like those of the Integra at 400F/500R as this is our race car. Normally the higher rate springs go up front.
Be very careful in doing your selections. Call Ground Control or Skunk and talk with them-it will be worth it to you. Ride height, spring length, shock design are very important and work together.
If by chance you only want a lowered ride then consider Neuspeed Sport springs or another set from H&R or Eibach. But whatever you do-get the best shocks you can that match the setup you are planning.

i know all of my options and i have taken them all into consideration... My first thought was to get some kyb Agx's with eibach pro kit, but my problem was with weight... see, i want to do a b18c and want to make sure that the suspension will be as reliable and balanced as possible so I was considdering getting a full coilover kit, Ie: Apex'i, Tein, Hks... Apex'i was my first choise but they dont make a kit for any car older that '92 and having a 1990 Crx si i was wondering if a kit from a '92 and newer car would fit my car... So again, my only question is, IS there a Kit that will fit my car from a '92 or newer Honda...
